Today, Sprint Nextel reports that Shares of Sprint Nextel rallied 4%. Sprint suffered its 11th straight quarterly loss at $760 million, or 25 cents per share, which includes a 10 cents per share charge linked to the company’s tax , on revenue of $8 billion. Sprint Nextel lost 15 cents per share.The Sprint Nextel have good sales from Sprint Nextel’s HTC EVO 4G Android-based smartphone introduced last month.The Sprint Nextel added 111,000 subscribers in the three months ended June 30, a sharp turnaround from the loss of 257,000 subscribers in the same quarter last year. While the company lost 55,000 retail customers, Sprint Nextel added 166,000 subscribers through wholesale and affiliates. The advance came as a result of substantial growth in prepaid wireless customers, as the company relaunched the Virgin Mobile brand and introduced Common Cents Mobile to 700 Walmart stores during the quarter.
